Funding

Schools can share the cost of the Art Docent Program because the portfolios can be rotated from school site to school site throughout the school year. Therefore, if your school is interested in purchasing the Program but cannot pay for it all, we suggest you approach neighboring schools to help share the cost. This would make the Program even more affordable. There are many possible sources of funding for the Program. Here is a brief list to get you started:

California Arts Council
State Art Education Associations
Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission
PTA
National Endowment for the Arts

Local Businesses & Large Corporations:
Local School Districts
City Councils
Art Museums
School Foundations for Arts Education

The Art Docent Program is very cost-effective and comprehensive. The materials will last a good 20 years and will benefit every student, every month in every classroom.
